Born and raised riding the waves like others learn to ride bikes, the instructors at Suko Surf possess an intimate knowledge of local conditions and surf spots, ensuring that learners are taken to the best locations for their skill level.
I wanted to improve my surfing and I found these guys online, and I’m so glad I did because they are the best! The sessions were based on my skill level and they challenged me just enough. They gave coaching advice that made an immediate change in my surfing abilities (paddling, wave entry, projecting, pumping, etc). The video analysis added so much value to my learning and now I have some videos to take back home with me. I feel like I have levelled up and this was exactly what I wanted. The best part of it was that they made it fun and that is what surfing is all about. Would highly recommend and will come back next time. Nicest people and very accommodating.
Suko Surf is hands down the best surf school in Canggu! They offer top-quality lessons that go beyond just teaching you how to surf—they take care of everything, making the experience smooth and enjoyable. The team handles the surfboards and brings them straight to the beach, so you don’t have to worry about carrying anything. They also transport students in a van to the best surf spots of the day, ensuring you always catch the best waves. After the lesson, they provide fresh towels and even a small wet towel to remove the salt from your face and hands—such a thoughtful touch! One of the highlights is the photo and video review after the session. The instructors go through your footage, giving valuable feedback to help you improve faster. Their attention to detail and commitment to progress are truly impressive. I was so happy with my experience that this is already my second year returning to Suko Surf. I recommend this surf school 100%! I chose the package of 3 lessons of 2 hours, and from the first session, I felt progress thanks to Anggi. Anggi is an excellent teacher, who knows how to adapt to the level and needs of each student. He takes the time to explain the basics, while offering personalized advice to help us evolve quickly. What I particularly appreciated was his patience and his ability to create a reassuring atmosphere, ideal for gaining confidence on the board. Another strong point of his courses is the use of videos and photos taken during the session. This allows detailed analysis of movements and immediate awareness of errors or areas for improvement. Using this approach, I was able to correct my posture and techniques much faster than I would have imagined. In addition to the technical aspect, the courses take place in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, which makes each session even more enjoyable.
